You be the light!
Dear friend,
The world seems so dark. October 7th is still fresh on our minds. All the stories of the fallen soldiers and victims break our hearts. And of course, we can't stop thinking about the hostages. They are literally in the darkness, in the unforgiving tunnels in Gaza.
With such intense darkness, should we give up, give in, and let the darkness take over?
Not a chance!
As the Rebbe had taught us, the answer is simple: "When it's dark outside, you be the light!"
So thank you for being a light.
Thank you for bringing more kindness to the world.
Thank you for being a good person!
Today, we ask you to please partner with our Chabad in Hackensack, so we can continue being the light. This is our mission statement, to serve and welcome everyone with light, with special attention to those who are in the "darkness."
Think about a group of Jewish inmates on Rosh Hashanah... far from their families and friends... no festive clothing... yet they can celebrate and even have a High Holidays service - all thanks to you!
Think about people who live alone... with no families nearby... when they need something they have who to turn to - all thanks to you!
Think about a single mother... can't make ends meet... the thought of celebrating the Jewish holidays feels more like a nightmare... yet she is able to celebrate with dignity - all thanks to you!
YOU ARE THE LIGHT!
Please donate generously so we can lift more people out of the darkness, with love, kindness, and care.
To end 2024 on a positive note and start 2025 with a stronger finanical footing, we need to raise $55,000.
