Rabbi Mendy and Shterna Kaminker

We’re Rabbi Mendy and Shterna Kaminker, shluchim of the Lubavitcher Rebbe here in Hackensack.

We moved here to serve the Jewish community and to share the warmth, joy, and meaning of Jewish life. We’d love for you to be part of it.

At Chabad, you’ll meet people with all kinds of Jewish backgrounds. Some come every Shabbat. Others join us for a holiday, a class, or whenever they’re in town. Whether you live in Hackensack, work here, or are just visiting, there’s a place for you.

Our Shabbat morning services begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by Kiddush lunch. If it’s your first visit, please introduce yourself! We’d love to get to know you.

Working in Hackensack? Join our Wednesday Lunch & Learn at 1 University Plaza, from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. You can also arrange a time to learn one-on-one. We have a Tanya class before Shabbat services and community celebrations throughout the year.

Being the Rebbe’s shluchim means being here for you. If you need anything, please reach out. Whether it’s a Jewish question, help with a mitzvah, someone to talk to, or anything else, please stop by, call, or email.

We also help Jewish patients and their families at Hackensack University Medical Center and serve Jewish inmates at the Bergen County Jail. If you or someone you know needs our help, please reach out.

You’re welcome to come on your own, with your family, or with a friend. We look forward to meeting you!
